I am an Italian actress who has been living in Antwerp for one year. I have followed the previous editions of your Festival because I am part of the Genovese company “La Pozzanghera”, who has been part of the Festival’ s equipe for several years. Next year I’ll be working in Antwerp again and I’ll have a Belgian residence. Even though I made my first step in the theatrical world as an actress, in the last couple of years I have focused my attention on writing and direction. Your Festival represents for me the opportunity of keeping on doing abroad what in Italy was becoming my job. I would have taken part of this Festival even if I was been in Italy and it’s a fortune for me that since the last years it exists an international competition as well.
The first piece of theatre I wrote was a monologue about the relationship between father and daughter. It has been very successful and it has been represented in several occasion and Festival in Italy. My first direction was Siamo state convocate (“We have been called”) a rewriting of Rosenkrants and Guildernstern are dead by Tom Stoppard.
